11am until 3pm (last entry) Gardens close at 3.30pm
Come and enjoy winter’s delicate blooms at our much-loved annual Snowdrop Weekend.
Join us as we open our gates to a display of hundreds of different snowdrop varieties in the borders and walled garden. This year is much earlier than normal, as we have some commitments later on in February, which means we have had to adapt. That said, with changes in the temperature and the potential effect this may have on the garden, who knows what this earlier weekend will bring to the garden overall.
There are also good displays of coloured stems, hellebores and some Hamamelis. The gardens aren’t open very often, and so we love to welcome you for this opener of the year. Bring the dog, pull on your wellies, and come and have a walk around.
Our resident historian, Sue Bull, will be holding her usual history talks at 12noon – different every time (even if it is based roughly around the same timeline) She is a wonder and rattles through 800 odd years in about 40minutes although please note we tend to hold this talk outside and seating is limited.
